In all eight of our markets from coast to coast, we are implementing changes in our communities as part of our Commitment to Health and Safety. While cleanliness and safety are always top priorities at Equity, we are focused on further enhancing our existing standards during the Covid-19 pandemic.

From door-to-door, in every space, in all aspects of our operation, we are implementing measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our residents and team members. Some of these practices are clearly visible and others are at work behind the scenes. Our Commitment to Health and Safety summarizes these important enhancements.

What We’re Doing

Common Area Cleaning

We’ve enhanced our cleaning and sanitizing protocol with a focus on high-touch surfaces.

Social Distancing

We promote six feet of distancing, with posted reminders in shared spaces. Furniture and equipment are positioned to support this.

Apartment Cleaning

Every apartment is cleaned and sanitized prior to a resident moving in.

Hand Sanitizers

Sanitizer dispensers have been added in shared spaces throughout our communities.

Air Filtration

We’ve installed upgraded air filtration systems in our fitness centers and other high traffic common areas where possible.

Wellness Checks

All team members have temperature checks before they enter our communities.

Face Coverings

Face coverings are required in all shared spaces in our communities. This applies to employees, residents and visitors.

Touchless Leasing

Self guided and virtual remote touring options for remote, personalized service.

Enhanced Safety Protocols

We’ve updated our protocols on how to safely enter residents’ homes. When needed, this includes enhanced requirements around protective personal equipment.
